Saint Francis Roman Catholic Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico

In June of 2005 I took some panoramas in front of the Saint Francis Church in Santa Fe, which is only a short distance from the plaza.

Below are two thumbnails for each panorama I photographed in front of the church. Use the links to the right or under the thumbnails for each pano to choose which size and format to view them. Medium Resolution is great, Full Screen is the best! You might start out at the low end and if those load quickly enough, or pique your interest, you should consider the higher resolution versions.

At the Door

A close look at the various panels on the front of the church door. There appear to be a number of action sequences recorded in carvings on the panels of the door.

Choose from the links the kind of panorama style you prefer. Both thumbnails are of the same panorama.

As with the above panorama at the door, this location can almost look like two different places based on where the panorama is cut and centered. Click on either thumbnail to immerse yourself in the full screen panorama.

The Saint Francis church, pictured above, is a short walk from the Santa Fe Plaza. Some trees on the Plaza are visible in the pano above; at the next intersection down the street on the right is the Plaza. In case you don't know what a "plaza" is, the plaza is a gathering place, the most central place in town where, generally, there is the most public space. Where I grew up the downtown gathering place was called "the common"; still other places call it "the square"; these are all similar.

If you enjoyed those then you might be interested in knowing not too long ago the city built a nice gazebo. Maybe you are interested in seeing a panorama from it. Smiley face.

You can also see my "At the Door" pano at the "Word Wide Pano: Best of 2005" web site. Over 300 photographers from 46 countries submitted panoramas; ton's of great panoramas.
